We’re delighted to announce that we have three summer interns joining the Veriphi team, growing our staff numbers to 11 over the next few months.
Lachlan Calder, who’s studying Engineering Science at Auckland University, hails from Taradale in the Hawkes Bay where he was Dux of Taradale High School in 2016. Lachlan will be working on calibrating analysers to a single training dataset through collecting test data and developing an algorithm to correct the analyser differences. His project will determine what is causing the differences and calibrate out the error, greatly reducing the amount of time required to commission new analysers. Lachlan will report to Kyle and work alongside Jerome and Tom.
Rosa Campbell is a Biomedical Engineering Honours under-graduate at Auckland University where she also tutors in Engineering and is a Women in Engineering Network leader. Rosa will be developing software to verify that the algorithms are implemented correctly across a range of scenarios; part of a larger R&D project to improve the accuracy and speed of processing the analyser raw data. Rosa’s embedded development project will enable the analyser to be used independently from the PC which will mean our customers won’t require additional hardware to run our device. She will report to Kyle and work alongside Casey.
Justin Chuk is doing a BE/BCom Conjoint at Auckland University (Software Engineering and Finance). Previously, he was a product development engineer Intern at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and is an accomplished violin performer. Justin will be working on the analysis and visualisation of cloud data, providing us with additional value to the product and enabling us to tap into higher level quality control monitoring. He will report to Kyle and work alongside Jerome and Robbie.
